  • Policies & FAQs

    We are happy to offer free shipping for all orders within Canada. Normally we ship using Canada Post Standard Mail. However, Due to the nation wide strike we have had to setup shipping through different carriers. There will be no change to our free shipping policy nor will there be any delays due to the strike.

    All order from outside of Canada will be charged a shipping rate depending on location and size of order upon checkout.

    We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.

    To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it and in its original packaging. We do not accept returns on opened physical media. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

    To start a return, you will first need to contact us at shop@therewind.ca. Please send any relevant information about your return in your email. We will do our best to respond within 24 hours.

    If your return is accepted, we will guide you on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Items will also need to be received before a refund is given. Shipping costs of returns will be your responsibility.

    There will be a 3% re-stocking fee charged for all refunds.

    Damages and issues
    Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

    Exceptions / non-returnable items
    We also do not accept returns for opened and or used physical media. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

    Exchanges
    The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

    Refunds
    We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.


    If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at shop@therewind.ca.

    We will do our best to get all in-stock items shipped out within 3 days of the order being placed.

    If you order in-stock items with back-orders or pre-orders, we will hold all of your items until we can ship them all together.

    Pre-orders will ship out as we get in our inventory. We will do our best to get pre-orders out to you by street date, but can not guarantee that for all orders due to any number of reasons outside of our control.

    Back-order shipping times will depend on where the product is coming from and vendor stock levels. We can not say how long it will take for any one back-order product to be received and shipped out. There could be delays up to or exceeding 8 weeks depending on the product.

    Although our primary focus is giving Canada the best service we possibly can, we also offer shipping to the United States.

    Shipping to the US will be calculated at checkout depending on your location and size of order.

    We can not guarantee that any pre-orders will come with a slipcover. We will update our listings once our stock arrives to let you know what does or does not come with a slipcover.

    Marketing materials that either do or do not display a slipcover are not guarantee of a title having one or not. Please defer to the information in the listing.

    For products that do include a slipcover, we can not guarantee that the slipcover will be pristine upon arrival due to shipping.

    All orders will be charged at checkout. This includes pre-orders & back-orders.

    Almost all 4K UHD discs are region free and should play anywhere (any exception will be noted on the product page as this is very rare).

    All region information for a disc is listed on its product page. Most imports that contain Blu-Ray discs will be region B and will not play in standard north American players.

    If you are not totally sure about what region code you need please check this list to make sure:

    DVD

    • Region 2: Europe (PAL), Japan (NTSC), South Africa, Middle East
    • Region 3: South-East Asia (NTSC)
    • Region 4: Central and South America (NTSC), Australia (PAL), New Zealand (PAL)
    • Region 5: Former Soviet Union, India, Pakistan, Africa (NTSC)
    • Region 6: China (NTSC)

    Blu-Ray
